YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Integrator), is the successor to MultibootISOs. It can be used to create a Multiboot USB Flash Drive. which used grub to boot ISO files directly from USB, YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on the USB device
But some USB flash drives are having problems after used from YUMI (e.g. doesn’t boot properly or black screen) the reason is some flash drives ship USB-FDD formatted not USB-HDD Mode
However you can change USB flash drives into USB-HDD Mode so the system will detect it and boot properly from it.
I recommend backup your data before proceeding this steps
Requirements
- USB Flash Drive
- Bootice 1.3.2.1 ( Softpedia )
Steps to change to USB-HDD
- Plug your USB Flash Drive ( Make sure no error detected )
- Open Bootice
- Select the Destination Disk Then click Parts Manage
- Select your Partition then select Re-Partitioning
- Select USB-HDD mode ( Single Partition ) , Ignore the Start LBA and Reserved Secs
- Confirm your steps are true , select OK will repartition and format your FDD
